Hallo Stefan,

interessant, daß dieses Foto eine erhaltene Corpet-Louvet-Tenderlok neben einer "richtigen" Kastendampflok zeigt:

Fielen doch offenbar damals im französischen Sprachgebrauch diese französischen Tenderloks genauso unter den Begriff Tramwaylok, selbst wenn sie keinen Kastenaufbau und meist auch keine Triebwerksverkleidung hatten, und versahen auch im stadtnahen/ländlichen Verkehr vergleichbare Dienste (W. Hefti weist in seinem Buch über die Tramway-Lokomotiven darauf hin).

Hallo Thomas und Buntbahner,

In France, the terminology, "Tramway", is applied to the railroads with 50% and more line beside a road, following it and using the same bridges. This is a legal terminology in this case. In the former applications, all steam engines must be totally enclosed, but after a while, the protections are removed due to heat problems. But there is also some mis understanding.

To be noted that our HL.1075 and the tree other, are true 'bi cabine'. All the commands are the two driving position; front and back.

many thanks for the splendid little video!
Unfortunately the comments are hardly to understand (sound is too low),
but the images and scenes of the tram ride are magnific!
I would think it gives an authentic view of tramway loco operation in its very last days of regular service.

Hallo,

bei den MTVS * im Norden Frankreichs (Departement Oise)
( * http://www.musee-mtvs.com )
gibt es offenbar neben dem schönen restaurierten C-Kuppler #60
(von der Tramway de la Sarthe, westlich von Paris // Blanc-Misseron 1898)

(der glücklicherweise von der Verschrottung gerettet werden konnte)


noch zwei weitere interessante Loks, die derzeit noch aufgearbeitet werden, damit sie ebenfalls einmal wieder fahren können:

Einmal diese hier, ein B-Kuppler, allerdings keine echte Kastenlok, aber mit dem Brown´schen Hebelarm-Triebwerk (wie es fast alle Kastenloks von SLM/Winterthur hatten), von Corpet-Louvet 1898 in Paris gebaut:


Und dann noch die #16 der Tramway de la Sarthe, ebenfalls ein C-Kuppler,
gebaut von ANF Blanc Misseron 1887.
Leider gibt es (noch) kein Foto von dieser zweiten Lok - das wäre mal interessant zu vergleichen mit der Lok der Chiemseebahn - einfach weil die gleich alt ist!

is any of the tramway locos you show on your pics somewhat similar to the
# 16 (an 0-3-0 T bi-cabine from 1887) being preserved at MTVS? Would be nice to see, just for fun, in comparison to the same year old 0-2-0 loco of the bavarian Chiemseebahn (from 1887, too):

The showed line is probably the last section of a former SNCV route that was used by an industry (coal extraction). They use some of the last steam locomotives and some autorails. you can see the transfert of normal gauge wagon from the coal mining to the SNCB station by the HL.634. The steam locomotives are the one that already exist now: HL.303, HL.634, HL.1075 now at Blier.

Moie Kollegen,

interessant für Gn15er ist die Tatsache, daß Krauß wohl auch Loks für 381mm Spurweite gebaut hat. So entnehme ich das Kreuzkopfs link http://www.werkbahn.de/eisenbahn/lokbau ... krauss.htm
Diese Loks würde ich schon mal gerne sehen.
