MDT Schweer Achenseebahn
Several years ago I saw an article online about an MDT Schweer made live steam model of Achenseebahn no. 1. A few months ago I wrote to them asking about it but never got a response.
Does anyone know if they are still in business and if this model is still available.
It is very sad about the real locomotive being damaged in the fire last week. Hopefully it can be repaired.

Hello Roger,
about two years ago or so, in one number of the german "Garten Bahn"-magazine,
Manfred R. Meliset, the editor of the magazine, gave a short notice (including a photo) about this very fine model of the Achensee cog wheel loco.
Probably you should contact him? Looked like as if he owned that model.

Sorry but I don´t remember the exact number and year - but ask him.

Thomas,
I believe that is the article I read. I have sent a message to Manfred to see if he has any more information. Thank you for the suggestion.
Google still has a cache of the article but without the photos.

It looks like the issue is from 5/2001. Looking at the Gartenbahn website I do not see that issue listed as still being available.

Re: MDT Schweer Achenseebahn
Thomas,
I had found the photo section on this website but thanks for mentioning it. Fido has put up a good selection of photos from the Achenseebahn.
I have not received any word back from Manfred yet.

Hi Roger!
Be patient, please! Manfred has been in his holidays and will return to his office on monday. Give him a chance to read his hundreds of e-mails, I'm sure he'll answer you. If not - please let me know.
