My name is Henri Kroeze, I live in the Netherlands, close to Rotterdam and I have a huge fascination for the RTM (Rotterdamse Tramweg Maatschappij). I have a small LGB layout in the garden and some LGB stock. I started this fascinating hobby about three years ago.
But most fun is gained from building my own RTM material! I have finished a Backer & Rueb ‘kastenlok’ which took way too long to build. Now I am adding rolling stock, being closed wagons, based upon LGB Chiquita wagons as they are very cheap available and provide good base material.
From France I have a kit from a Billard A80D4 which was also in use by the RTM and really rode almost in our backyard in the ‘60. Although I was not born yet... This kit is in preparation, I am gathering all kind of information about the way it was used by the RTM.
I have read this great forum for a few years already but I never felt my modelling skills matched those of most Buntbahners. I have still SO MUCH to learn!
