This is my first post on buntbahn. I apologize for not writing German, i can read it but writing it is very difficult.
From an old LGB Stainz I made a Backer & Rueb steam tram. It is the first ever locomotive I built. It is made of plasticard, mostly 2 mm for strength. The engine and drive gear are a ‘heuler’ (very old LGB), the chassis is also from the Stainz as is the boiler and chimney. The rest is made by myself.
I read this forum for a few years now and I am highly impressed by the master level of modeling I see here. No where my work matches what I see here but it is good to see what others are building to learn new things!
I’ll continue in English. Yes the wagons are RTM. The closed van was a LGB 4033 Chiquita wagon which I rebuild to this closed van. If interested I’ll post some pics of this rebuild?
The open wagons are subject to a future project, I want to remove the brake platforms as the RTM did not use brake platforms.
